PDSITIDNING YDURF DWDDEER

Klipsch powered suhwoolers are desrgned to reproduce the deep has and impact that really makes your movies and music
come alive. For optimum perlonnance, Klipsch suggests placing your suhwooler in a comer ol the room on the same wall as
your hont channel speakers. Refer to Figure l for placement Please note that room placement can have a dramatic ellect
upon the perlonnance at your powered suhwooler. Comer placement. as suggested ahove, wtll increase the amount ol hass.
Placing the suhwooler along the middle at a wall, or nit in the room will decrease the amoum ul hass output. We suggest
that you experiment with a numher at different placement options and control settings to find the ones that best suit your
particular room and task. When choosing your suhwoolers' location, keep in mind that you will need to connect the suh
wooler's huilt-in amplifier to an AC power oudet.

IIDNNEL'IING YDUR PDWERED SUDWDDFER TD YDUR El NIES

LINE LEVEL CDNNECTIDNS AND CDNTRDLS ~ Using a line level RCA suhwooler cahle, connect the Suhwooler/LFE/Luw
Puss output oI your electronics to the suhwoofer Via the RCA iack inputs on the suhwoolers rear panel. Neler to Figure 2.

llNE IN - This input is designed as a general purpose inprn lor the suhwoofer. Depending upon die position of the

~Low Pass EnahIe/Disalile' switch, this input can either he filtered hy the huihin Low Pass lLP) cmssovei, or unfiltered for
use as an LEE Input with an external crossover.

LINE DUT , This sends an urdiltered line level signal out tor mnnectt'on m a second RSW series suhwooler or lot connec
tion hack to your electronics it necessary

LDW PASS ENANLE/DlSANLE , This switch mules the signal at the "Line In" jerk iii one oitwo ways. In the "Enahle"
position, the input signal is ioirted thmugh the Low Pass Crossover allowing the user to select the upper~lrequency cirtotl
of die suhwooler. In the "Disehle l LEE Mode)" position, the signal hypasses the "low Pass Crossover. This allows the
"Line In" jack to he used as an unfiltered LEE input. In this case, the Line In" input jack should onhy be connected to the
filtered LEE (.1) suhwoofer channel output at your digital sunoond electmnics as this input is not filtered hy the "Low Pass
control.

LDW PASS (LP) CRDSSDVER , The crossover allows the user to select the uppeihequency cutoN ol the suhwooler. The
frequency is selectable Ironr AD-IZDNI. Frequencies ahove the set level are fihered not, allowing men to hlend the
suhwooler's output into your main speakers.

VDLUME LEVEL IZDNTNDL - The "Volume Level Control" is mourned on the side of the speaker enclosure and serves as an
overall volume control for the suhwooler. It is used to match the output level of the suh to your main speakers.

PDLANITY D/IDD , This control is used to acoustically match the suhwoolers output to your main speakers. You warn to
select ole oi the two positions, either the D or IITD, in which your suh has more output at your listening position.

AUTD DN ENANLE/DISADLE , Willi the main power switch in the "Do" position, selecting ~Auto Dn Enaltle allows the
suh to turn on automatically when it senses an input signal. It will automatically go to standhy mode alter 2D minutes with
no signal input. Selecting Auto Dn Disahle' means that the suhwooler will always he on regardless of the presence or lack
of an input signal. Klipsch powered suhwoolers have an IED that indicates power status of the huiltin ampldier on the hot
tom of the trout panel. The [ED is NED when the amplilier is in standhy mode, and DREEN when it is on and receiving

a signal.

PDWEN DN/DFF - This switch serves as the main AC power switch for the suhwooler. N the "DN" position is selected.
the unit will not turn on at all. If the "Do" position is selected, the suhwooler will either he in the always on or auto on
mode, depending upon the posihon ol the "Auto Dn EnahIe/Disahle" switch.

CARE AND CLEANING DE YDDN PDWERED SUNWDDFER

Your new suhwooler has a durahle vinyl finish IRSWIII Ta NSWIZ) or real wood veneer frnish [RSWISI that should only
require dry dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth. Avoid the use of ahiasive or solventhased cleaners and harsh deter
gents. IN desired. furniture polish could he used as an additional care method lor the real wood veneer finish on the RSW
