Also compact and easytoinstall, the IC8TSW inceiling subwoofer option features a transformerless design that delivers high impact, robust bass. This model adds moredimension to any inceiling configuration byusing an 8inch woofer and 8inch drone, bothfeaturing polypropylene cones and high temperature voice coils in the woofer. While most subwoofers use a port to increase output, the IC8TSW employs a bandpass design that utilizes a passive radiator. This eliminates a lot of the distortion and minimizesturbulence that is often present in ported designs. The IC8TSW is shipped completewith a tilebridge for installation in a suspendedceiling or wherever additional reinforcementof the ceiling material is required. Specifically designed for this system, the Comm Sat Network is an outboard unit thatfeatures 70V/100V tapsettings and serves as a hub for up to four satellites and the chosen subwoofer.
