It means that the unit is utilizing laser beams that are of a weaker class. There is no danger of hazardous radiation outside the unit. CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT The marking of products using lasers (Except for some areas) Before applying power Caution : Read this page carefully to ensure safe operation. Factory fitted moulded mains plug 1. The mains plug contains a fuse. For replacement, use only a 13-Amp ASTA-approved (BS 1362) fuse. 2. The fuse cover must be refitted when replacing the fuse in the moulded plug. 3. Do not cut off the mains plug from this equipment. If the plug fitted is not suitable for the power points in your home or the cable is too short to reach. A power point, then obtain an appropriate safety approved extension lead or adapter, or consult your dealer. If nonetheless the mains plug is cut off, remove the fuse and dispose of the plug immediately, to avoid a possible shock hazard by inadvertent. Connection to the mains supply. IMPORTANT : The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code : Blue : Neutral Brown : Live Do not connect those leads to the earth terminal of a three-pin plug. For the United Kingdom REQUIREMENT BY NEDERLAND GAZETTE Batteries are supplied with this product. When they empty, you should not throw away. Instead, hand them in as small chemical waste.

At this time, the track number is incremented by Ò1Ó. ¸Recording can also be started by pressing the record (¦) key. Stop the recording 4.Adjust the recording level (only analog recording) . 1Play the source to be recorded. 2Set to recording pause. Always press the record (¦) key in stopped condition, and then press the pause (8) key. 3Adjust the recording level. ¸Adjustment is possible in the range from -¥ dB to 0 dB (81steps). ¸Adjust so that 0 dB lights only once in a while. ¸Lower the level when the red part of the level meter lights. ÒDISC WRITINGÓ displayed during the minidisc ejection operation indicates that the data associated with recording or editing is being written on the disc. Always remove the minidisc after recording. ¸During recording, the EJECT (0) key will not be accepted. ¸To start recording simultaneously with CD play- back, please read ÓTips for recording from a CDÒ. ¼ Level value 0dB Display on the MD recorder section Let's record Sampling Frequencies Normally the following three types of digital signals are used and they are called sampling frequencies. 48 kHz 44.1 kHz 32 kHz As this unit has a built-in sampling rate converter, digital signals of 32 kHz and 48 kHz are converted to 44.1 kHz for recording.
