Heads are important as they pick up sound.
When they become dirty, the lollowing
symptoms become noticeable:
o The sound quality ls reduced.
0 The sound level is decreased.
nThe sound can be heard intermlttently.

(Sound drop occurs.)

These are NOT malfunctions. However. before
these symptoms appear, clean the heads alter
every 10 hours ol use using a wetAtyoe head
cleaning tape, available lrom an audio store.
For more details, refer to the Instructions ol the
Head Cleaning Tape.

panel holder. To minimize this possibility,
periodically wipe the connector with a cotton
swab or cloth moistened with alcohol, being
caretul not to damage the connector terminals.

How To Fast-Fomard And Rewind Tapes

Press the FF button to iast-tomard the side
being played: when the tape end is detected, the
tape is reversed and playback starts {mm the
beginning oi the other side.

Press the REW button to rewind the tape to its
beginning. where playback restarts.

Lightly press the FROG button to start playback
from the current position during tast-Iorward or
rewind.

RADIO OPERATION

Operate In the order shown.

Auto-Reverse Mechanism

When the tape reaches its end, this mechanism
automatically switches over to play back the
other side. To listen to the other side of the tape
during playback, press the PHOG button. The
change in direction can be checked in the Tape
Direction indicator.
