Do not make any connection to the Larger Terminal coded E
or Green, The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with following code:

If these colours do not correspond with the terminal identifi»
cations of your plug, connect as follows:

Blue wire to terminal coded N (Neutral) or coloured Black,
Brown wire to.termina| coded L (Live) or coloured Red.

If in doubt - consult a competent electrician.

Note

We recommend that you should disconnect the mains plug
from the supply socket when not in use.

0 POWER switch
ON: Press to turn the power on. The POWER indicator
9 will be illuminated. During the first 3 or 4
seconds after the POWER switch is turned on, no
sound will be heard until you hear the click of
the relay operation. This is not due to any defect
In the unit. The built-in power protection circuit
operates to mute the switching noise for speaker
protection.
0 Level indicatorlA-K1O only)
This LED indicator shows the output power of both the
left and right channels.
9 POWER indicator
This LED lights when the POWER switch is set to ON.
0 TAPE switch
Press this to listen to tapes played on units connected to
the TAPE terminals.
0 VIDEO/AUX switch
Press to listen to sources connected to the VIDEO/AUX
terminals.
6 TUNER switch
Press to listen to radio broadcasts from the tuner connectr
ed to the TUNER terminals.
0 PHONO switch
Press to listen to records.
0 VOLUME control
Turn clockwise for louder sound.
0 Headphone jack lPHONES)

Plug stereo headphones into this jack for private listening.

(9 SPEAKER switch
Use to switch on or off the speakers connected to the
SPEAKER terminals.

01) BASS control
Slide to the right to boost bass response, to the left to
decrease bass response,

it) TREBLE control
Slide to the right to boost treble response, to the left to
decrease treble response.

® BALANCE control
Slide to balance the left and right speaker volumes When
it is at the extreme left, only the left channel Is heard,
and vice versa.

in LOUDNESS switch

A-K20

At low listening levels, low and high frequencies are

apparently attenuated because of the ears lower sen-

sitivitv. Press this switch at low listening levels to comr

pensate for this,

Left channel power indicator (A-KZO only)

These LEDs indicate the output power in watts. The

values in watts are indicated for left channel, when one

pair of speakers having an impedance of exactly 8 ohms is

being driven.

Right channel power indicator (A-KZO only)

These LED's indicate the output power in watts. The

values in watts are indicated for right channel.

SPEAKERS selector (A»K20 only)

1: Set to out (1 ) to listen to the speakers connected
to the SYSTEMrl terminals.

2: Press "in" (A) to listen to the speakers connected to
the SYSTEMVZ terminals.

Two pairs of speaker systems cannot be used at the same

time.
