ELECTROSTATIC

The penultimate speaker system. The Z-QGO,
through the broad blending of three wide disper-
sion electrostatic radiators with the expressly
designed and matched woofer bring sound repro-
duction to your home. naturally.

This clear unity of sound reproduction-no muddy
lows, no strident highs, no crossover shifts or
distortions-invites comparisons with perfection.
The transparent clarity and fine definition of the
JansZen electrostatics have, in the Z-960 system,
been matched with clean low frequency ability and
high powerrhandling capability that yields virtu-
ally distortionless reproduction. All this in a
handsomely finished cabinet enclosure that adds
visual correctness to your decor while furnishing
aural perfection more than equal to your most
sophisticated electronic equipment and finest
program sources.

DESCRIPTION

Three Jansch model 130
electrostatic radiators,
matched : 1 db, reproduce
clean, lucid treble in the
Z»060 system.

In each radiator. eight
diaphragm elements are con-
trolled between opposing
arrays of 176 sheathed con-
ductors. Uniform forces

amplitude and in the same
phase over the entire surface area of the diaphragms. In
this way, the diaphragms act like the theoretical acoustic
piston with neither mass nor stiffness . . . behaving as
if they were not there at all. The result is solely the
reproduction of the original sound.

The model 350D-the only dy-
namic woofer specifically designed
to match the JansZen electrostatic
-reproduces low frequencies nat-
urally and without coloration.

The low-mass cone is attached to
the cast aluminum frame by a
foam-treated flexible cloth rim.
Cone excursions to 5.3;" without
doubling or breakup are permitted

system, , ,

Its cabinet, can handle source
power to 100 watts with smooth, peak-free response. The
cone apex is weighted to produce controlled roll-off above
2 kHz. This matches exactly the response curve of the
electrostatic radiators, and allows operation without
transient-(lcxrrading inductive crossovers.

But the Jansch Z-.'Ilil) is a system. It represents more
than just the sum of its components. The series [.30 mid/
high radiators, model 3501) woofcr and the enclosure are
integrated on the basis of years of laboratory experiments.
Crossover regions, cone damping, enclosure design and
construction and, of course, the entire field of electro-
static speaker theory and application-studies of all these
