The Jamo i300, a stand-alone powered subwoofer/
satellite speaker system that turns your iPod into the
heart of a full-fl edged home entertainment system,
offering full-strength hi-fi quality performance.
Comprising an iPod control dock, a powerful active
subwoofer plus two compact satellite loudspeakers
this attractively-styled package comes with a long-
range radio frequency remote control- so you can
control the system, your iPod (and your tunes) from
another room.
But this 2.1-channel systems versatility extends far
beyond fi lling your room with tunes stored on your
iPod. The control dock (which charges your iPod
too) is also fi tted with an extra auxiliary input on its
rear panel so that you can hook up your computer,
portable DVD player or games console to the system.
Still got another source that you want to hook up? No
problem - theres yet another input on the subwoofer
itself.
Setting up the system is simplicity itself. A new
Universal iPod well means that we can guaranteethat youll be able to use any dock-able iPod (non -
dockable 1st/2nd generation iPods can be hooked up
via the auxiliary input).
How can we guarantee hi-fi quality sound? Using
solidly constructed 2-way satellites helps. The speakers
supplied with this system are magnetically-shielded
boxes - fi nished in high gloss white - that can be wall
or table-top mounted. These little marvels feature a
precision-engineered 76mm/3in co-axial driver that
delivers truly pin-point sonic imaging.
Whats more, the subwoofer has a 150 Watt high
effi ciency Class D digital amplifi er powering an 6.5in
bass driver and 2 x 75 Watt for the A 102´s, all housed
in a solid but very compact refl ex-ported enclosure.
The class D digital amplifi er was chosen because it
is much more effi cient than conventional amplifi ers
- it simply produces more sound and less heat. And
with lower power consumption the need for cooling
is signifi cantly reduced which again reduces the size
of the heat sinks.
A 102 The A 102 satellite speaker is
extremely compact and so itll be
the sound, and not the speaker,
that will attract attention. When
mounted on the wall with the
supplied wall brackets the speaker
can also be turned from side to
side.
i 300 control dock The control dock was, as the rest
of the system, built to compliment
the design of the iPod. Other
than the simplistic controls, and
the radio frequency remote, this
control dock also sports one of
the two auxiliary audio inputs this
i300 system has.
