SERVICE PROCEDURES

1. Safety-check out

After correcting the original service problemperform

- the following safety check before releasing the set

to the customer.

Connect the insulating-resistance tester between the
plug of power supply cord and chassis.
SpeciriufionszMu'e than lOMohm at 500V.

CAUTION ON REPLACEMENT OF OPTICAL PICKUP

The law diode in the optical pickup block is so
sensitive to static electricitysurge current and etc.

During repairmlnlley take the following precautions.
(The following precautions are included in the service

that the components are liable to be broken down pans.)

or its reliability remarkably deteriorated

PRECAUTIONS

1.Ground for the work-desk 3.6rounding for the human body.

Plaeeaoondtmtive sheet such as a sheet oieopper
(with inpedance lower than 10mm on the work-
deskandplaeethesetontheconduotivesheetso
that the chassis.

2.6munding for the test equipment and tools
Test equipments and tooling; should be grounded
in order that their ground level is the same the
ground of the power source.

Be sure to put on a wrist-strap for grounding whose
other end is grounded
Be particularly careful when the workers wear
synthetic fiber clothes. or air is dry.

4.Select a soldering iron that permits no leakage and
have the tip ofthe iron well-grounded.

5.130 not check the laser diode terminals with the
probe of a circuit tester or oscilloscope.
