ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS

Unless otherwise indicated, all electrical adjustments should be made under the following conditions:

A. Power switch in the ON position.
B. Stereo/mono switch in the STEREO position.
C. Dolby NR switch in the OFF position.
D. Tape switch in the LN position.
Also, make all adjustments in the sequence shown here.
SIGNAL MEASUREMENT
ITEM SOURCE CONNECTION MODE ADJUST INSTRUCTIONS
400 Hz Internal VTVM to Record VR401 1. Set PLAYBACK LEVEL on
Oscillator 400 Hz OUTPUT Jacks Pause on P.C.B. front panel at maximum position.
Level Oscillator Dolby Test 2. Depress TEST button on front
Tone panel.
3. Adjust for 580mV.
Meter Internal VTVM to Record VR203 1. Depress TEST button on front
Level 400 Hz OUTPUT Jacks Pause VR303 panel.
Oscillator on P.C.B. 2. Be sure VTVM reads SSOmV at
Dolby. each output (PLAYBACK
LEVEL maximum position).
3. Adjust to obtain OVU on VU
meters.
DOLBY 400 Hz VTVM to Playback VHS 1. Set PLAYBACK LEVEL on
Input Level 20 mM/mm OUTPUT Jacks VR105 front panel to maximum
or ZOOnW/IVI Plav CAL positions
Test Tape on front 2. Adjust for 580mV.
panel 3. Be sure VU meters each read

Playback PHILIPS VTVM or Playback VR 3 I L 1. Adjust for $1.5 do in reference

3. Record the signal on "TDK
CGOSD" or on a tape of the
brand most often used.
Playback 4. Play back the recorded signal
and note the VTVM readings.
VRB 5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 and adjust
VR108 to obtain 580mV reading during
Rec. CAL. Playback.
