hereafter referred to as YB300PE. The serial number is located on the sticker
inside the battery compartment. Refer to this number whenever you call
GRUNDIG regarding this product.

QUICK SETUP
(But please read the rest of the manual later!)
1. In the battery compartment, set the 9/10 KHz switch to the 10KHz position
for proper reception of AM stations when you are in North America; 9KHz if
you are outside of the Americas (e.g. Europe, Asia).
2. Set the DX/LOCALswitch to DX(left side of radio).
3. Insert the batteries.
4. Fully extend the telescopic antenna.
5. Turn the radio on by pressing the ON/OFFbutton.
INSTALLATION RAPIDE

1. Dans le compartement des piles, régler le commutateur 9/10 kHz sur la
position 10 kHz afin dobtenir une réception convenable des stations AM en
Amérique du Nord ; sur 9 kHz pour la réception en dehors du continent
américain (par exemple, en Europe ou en Asie).
2. Régler le commutateur DX/LOCALsur DX(côté gauche du poste de radio).
3. Insérer les piles électriques.
4. Déployer totalement lantenne télescopique.
5. Mettre le poste de radio en marche en appuyant sur le bouton ON/OFF
(Marche/Arrêt).
