ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE

INSTRUMENTS REOUIRED GENERAL PREPARATION

l. Signal Generator 1. Check Source voltage. DC or Ac according to speciticalons

2. FM Signal Generator 2. Settunctlon switch to band being aligned

a. FM/AM IF Sweep Generator (Io.7 Ml-lz lor FM) 3. Signal input should be kept as low as possible to avoid AGc and AFC lunctlon

4. VTVM 4. Standard modulation : AM I KHz 30% mod

5. Oscilloscope FM l KHz 22.5 KHz dell
6. Frequency counter

7. Regulated DC powersupply

FM IF ALIGNMENT
This model requires no FM IF alignment as the lF is Iixed by ceramic Iilter and discriminator CF502 or CFSOB 8t CFSDS. Please take note that correct type and same color dot OI ceramic Iilter is used
in Servicing, dlfl color dot OI ceramic Iilter may cause worse IF 8 Curve characteristic and distortion.

Connect IF genescope output terminal to TP3 at TP4 (GND) in series with a l000Pl capacitor, connect scope input terminal to TPI a TP2 (GND), then the IF characteristic curve can be observed.
