The Dolby system ls a spectat method ot mslse
suppresston Under normal Clrcumstances tape
noise can sound ottenslve during qutet passages
oi a recording. in the Dolby system sott passages
are recorded at a higher level than normal to tilt the
Signal well above the noise lt is necessary that
such a recordlngr clten rererred to as a Dolbylsed
recordlngfl is played back so that all the sections
artificially amplified are restored to thelr original
IEVEL reduclng the noise at the same tlrrle. The
result is that qulet passages ol musm are now
no longer spoiled by noise, whilst the quality at
the original recording is retalrled

We recommend you stand your cassette recorder
on a salt cloth or unpollshed surtace, as the Sur»
lace of some turntture Is varnlshed with lacquers
which may set up a chemical reaction with the teat
lltted to your cassette recorder. Thls reaction could
cause stains on your lurhlture Whlch may be dlttl-
cult to remove

Always ensure adequate ventilation tor your tape
