operating instructions

Setting up to M

Remove the pickup stylus guard. it lined, and check that
the speed; srze control and stylus are set to sun the
records to be played. Gently spin the turntable clockwise
to ensure unit ls not 1 auto-cycle belore littrng record
spindle which must be iltrnly located by retainin clip.

Also check that transit screws are turned lullv c ockwise,

Automatic play

ll it is in its centre positron (illustrated), Illt the overarrn
and swing it to the right.

Place records on the step at the record spindle and
steady them by swinging the overarrn into its centre
posfllonv (For a Single record see the alternative
instruction 1

Release the pickup rest clip then move the operating
control to 'Auto'. pause and release. The control WI
return to 'Manual'.

Alter playing the last record the pickup will return to its
rest and the unit will automatically switch all. Raise the
overarm and swing it to the right. then lift the records
clear oi the spindle. even if replaying them

Reject To play the next record at a stack. move the
operating control to 'Auto' (ii playlng a single record.
or the last ol a stack. lrmnedlotoly ntum control to
'Mlnual'. otherwise the record will repeatli

Single record ploy

Automatic Fit the short more spindle. Lift the overarm
and either swing it to the right or park it along the tear
or the unit. then place the record on the turntable. Check
settings and move the operating control to 'Auto. as
above. The pickup will automatically lower onto the
record.

Manual As Automatic. but move the operating control
to Manual and place the pickup on the record by hand

Cue and Pause When playing a Single record. the cue
and pause control may be used to raise or lower the
pickup at any selected pornt. or temporarily interrupt
play. To raise the pickup. lilt the cue and pause control
then posmon the pickup manually. rl required To gently
lower the pickup. lower the control.

For special purpose accuracy or to shorten the damped
descent time. the cue and pause control may be tilted
lust sulliciently lot the stylus to clear the record -
allowing lot any were on the record. The stylus can then
on aligned over any particular groove with great
accuracy before lowering the control.

This technique is particularly useful when quick and
accurate cuemg l5 oi benefit. such as in a Dre-arranged
discomeoue application. or to save an initial blank tape
run ll transcribing record-Janna.

Repeat Move the operating control to Auto'.

Make sure that at least one record is either on the record
spindle or turntable helore moving the operating control
to 'Auto and do not leave the records on the unit when
not in use $10M in clean records as recommended by
the makers and keep the pickup stylus tree of dust
