Anleitung zu Iesen, bevor Sie das Gerat in Betrieb nehmen.

bis 14 dargestellt, wéhrend die eigentliche Bedienung des Gerates auf der Seite 14 erklart
ist. Eine Gesamtabbildung mit Kurzbeschreibung aller Bedienungselemente finden Sie auf
den ausklappbaren Umschlagseiten.

Diese Anleitung soll gleichzeitig technisches Handbuch Ihres Gerates sein und Ihnen die

Ausbalancieren des Tonarmes

Der Tonarm wrrd durch Verschieben des Ba
lancegewichtes nut dem Dorn zunachst an-
nahernd und durch Drehen des Balancege-
wichtes (8) exakt aushalanciert.

l Auflagekraftskala (7) und Antiskating
skala (10) auf ,,O" stellen.

Stylus

The stylus IS subject to natural wear during
play We recommend that the diamond stylus
should be checked after playing about 300

Please keep in mind that the stylus holder
with the diamond tip is necessarily quite
delicate in order to provrde quality perform
ance It is, therefore, extremely sensitive to
harsh handling, accidental touch, blows, etc,
Take the cartridge in the holder to your Dual
dealer for inspection of the stylus (Removal
of cartridge holder IS described above l

Balancing the Tonearm

Shifting the counteralance (8) on its shaft
balances the tonearm coarsely, turning the
counterbalance weight balances the tonearm
exactly

1 Set stylus presswe dial (7) and anti-skat
ing dial (10) to "0" (zero)

2 Unlock the tonearm and move it over the
tonearm rest Place the cue-control lever
(11) in 1 posmon

3 It the tonearm does not come to rest hor
rizontally, loosen setscrew (F) and slide
the counterbalance with its shaft until an
apprOximate balance has been achieved.
Then secure the shaft of the counterbal-
ance by tightening the setScrew.

4 Now find the exact balance by turning
the counterweight

Le bras de lecture est équilibré, lorsque le
bord ,,A" du profil de la téte et la bord ,,B"
du support du bras sont au meme niveau
(fig. 14), cu lorsquapres une légere pression
verticale exercée sur le bras, oelui-ci revient
de lui-méme a la position horizontale, c'est-
adire qu'au lieu de se soulever jusqua la
butée, il redescend, sans toutefois se reposer
sur son support.

Un équilibrage précis du bras est important,
en particulier dans le cas de cellules avec
petite force d'appui. Le bras ne doit étre
équilibré quune seule fois, cependant il est
conseillé de vérifier cet équilibré de temps a
autre.

Réglage de la force d'appui

Chaque cellule nécessite une certaine force
d'appui permettant dobtenir une reproduco
tion optimale. Cette valeur est indiquée sur
la feuille de caractéristiques fournie pour la
cellule incorporée.

Une force d'appui trop faible provoque des
distorsions lors de passages a forte intensité
sonore. Par contre, une force dappui trop
grande peut endommager aussi bien la cellule
et la pointe que le disque. C'est pourquoi
nous vous recommendons de verifier encore
une fois Iéquilibre du bras avant de régler la
force dappui.

Si Ie bras est exactement équilibré, on regle
Ia force d'appui néoessaire a la cellule en
tournant la graduation correspondante (7).
La force d'appui peut étre réglée de maniére
continue de 0 a 30 mN (0 - 3 g) suivant les
données de la graduation:

1=10mN =1g
2=20mN -��29
3=30mN =39

De méme, la sousdivision dans la zone 0 - .

15 mN (0 - 1,5 9) correspond a 1 mN (0,1 9)
et dans la zone 15 - 30 mN (1,5 - 3 g) a
2,5 mN (0,25 9).

Le fonctionnement de l'appareil est sfir a
partir de 5 mN (0,5 9) de force dappui.

De toonarm is uitgebalanceerd wanneer kant
"A" van het toonkop-profiel en kant B" van
de toonarmsteun zich op gelijke hoogte be-
vinden (Fig. 14), of wanneer de arm na Iichte
aanraking uit zich zelf de horizontale positie
inneemt, d.w.z. noch naar boven aantikt noch
naar beneden op de steun Iigt.

De exacte instelling van de toonarm balans is
met name voor toonsystemen die met zeer
lage naalddruk gespeeld moeten worden van
groot belang. De arm behoeft slechts eenmaal
uitgebalanceerd te worden, doch het verdient
aanbeveling de balans van tiid tot tijd te con-
troleren.

Installing naaldkracht

Elk systeem heeft een eigen, juiste naald-
kracht, waarbij een optimale weergave be-
reikt wordt. Van het ingebouwde systeem
vindt U separaat de nodige technische gege-
vens.

Een te kleine naaldkracht kenmerkt zich door
vervorming bij luide passages op de plaat. Is
daarentegen de naaldkracht te groot. dan kan
zowel het element als de plaat beschadigd
worden.

Controleert u daarom voor het instellen van
de naalddruk nog eens de toonarm balans. ls
de toonarm exact uitgebalanceerd dan kan
door het verdraaien van de naalddrukschaal
(7) de voor het toonsysteem benodigde
naalddruk ingesteld worden. De naalddruk is
continu instelbaar van 0 tot 30 mN (0 - 3 p).
waarby de cijfers op de schaal het volgende
betekenen:

1=10mN 91p
2 = 20mN 3 2p
3=30mN =3p

Analoog hiermee is een streepje in het gedeel-
te van0 - 15 mN (0-1,5p) 1 mN (0.1 p) in
het gedeelte van 15 - 30 mN (1,5 - 3 p)
2.5 mN (025 p).

De toonarm werkt bedrijfszeker bij een naald-
kracht groter dan 5 mN (0,5 p).

El brazo estaré equilibrado cuando el canto
"A" de la cabeza se encuentre a la misma al-
tura que el canto "B" del soporte (Fig. 14),
o cuando al hacer oscilar el brazo vertical-
mente éste vuelva a su posicidn horizontal al
encontrarse en reposo. es decir que no debe
tocar por arriba ni apoyarse por abajo.

Un balance precise del brazo es importante
especial mente con capsules de reducida fuerza
de apoyo. El equilibrio del brazo deberé ser
realizado una sola vez. Sin embargo, reco-
mendamos comprobarlo de vez en cuando.

Ajuste de la fuerza de apoyo

Cada capsula reQUiere una fuerza de apoyo
determinada, con la que se consigue la re-
produccidn optima. Este dato va indicado en
la hoja de caracteristicas adjunta para la
cépsula incorporada.

Una fuerza de apoyo escasa origina distor-
siones de la reproduccidn en Ios pasajes
de ,,forte, si, por el contrario, la fuerza de
apoyo es excesiva, se puede dafiar tanto Ia
cépsula, como la aguja o incluso el disco.

Por lo tanto, antes de efectuar cualquier
ajuste de la fuerza de apoyo, compruebe de
nuevo y previamente el equilibrio del brazo.
Con el brazo equilibradoa exactitud, la fuerza
de apoyo necesaria para la capsula utilizada
se ajusta girando la escala de la fuerza de
apoyo (7). La fuerza de apoyo puede ser
adjustada sin escalones entre 0 y 30 mN
(0 y 3 pondios), siendo asi que las cifras en
la escala significan Io siguiente:

1=10mN =1p
2 = 20mN 9 2p
3=30mN 93p

En sentido analogo, cada raya divisoria en la
zona de 0 hasta 15 mN (O - 1,5 p) equivaldra
a 1 mN (0,1 p). y en la zona desde 10$
15 hasta 30 mN (1 ,5-3 p) a 2,5 mN (0,25 p).
A partir de 5 mN (0,5 9) el aparato fun-
ciona con toda seguridad.

Die Einstellung der AntiskatingEinrichtung
hat synchron zur Einstellung der Aullagekraft
zu erfolgen: Drehen Sie bitte die Antiskating-
Einrichtung auf die Ziffer der betreffenden
Skala. die der eingestellten Auflagekraft ent~
spricht, also 2.8. per 12 mN (1,2 p) Auflage
kraft den Antiskating-Drehknopf ebenfalls
out "1.2",

Beim NatSabtasten (Abspielen von mit Fltis
sigkeit benetzter Schallplattel verringert sich
die Skatingkraft um ca. 10 %.

Es wird in diesem Fall empfohlen, die Ein-
stellung entsprechend anmpassen.

Bei abweichender Nadelverrundung kennen
Sie die AntiskatingEinstellung der Tabelle
entnehmen.

Antiskating

To compensate for skating force, a counter
force, precisely defined in weight and direi,
tion, must be applied to the tonearm, The
antiskating mechanism (10) of your turn

change of the skating compensation even

when playing a moistened record after a dry
record

Separate calibrations are provided for the
stylus types used almost exclusively today,

The setting of anti-skating compensation
corresponds to the setting of stylus pressure,
Turn the anti-skating knob to the number on
the appropriate scale which corresponds to
the stylus pressure you have set. That is, for
a stylus pressure of 12 mN (1 2 grams). set
the anti~skating knob also at "1 2",

When playing records moistened with a clea-
ning agent, the skating force is reduced by
approximately 10 11-). In such cases we re-
commend a corresponding 10 70 decrease in
antiskating compensation.

correct antiskating setting from the table
