The SA-B Dual-channel Hybrid Power Amplifier is a tube front-end. MOSFET

output stage design capable of delivering 200 watts per channel into eight
ohms.

CIRCUIT HIGHLIGHTS

-Very simple topology: a 12AX7 voltage amplifier followed by a cathode
follower drives directly into the gates of 6 Hitachi MOSPETS.

-With the exception of the cathode follower's inherent degeneration. no
feedback. local or global. is used.

-The tubed "front end" operates on a tightly-regulated power supply.
The output stages have their own transformer, with 36,000 microfarade
of capacitive energy storage per channel.

-Voltage for the tube filaments is regulated.

~Automatic muting protects speakers from turn-on and turn-off
transients, without inserting relay contacts into the signal path.

-Metal-film 12 Resists" resistors. high quality electrolytic and
polypropylene capacitors used throughout.
