Cambridge Audio August 2007 2 If on your PC, the My Documents folder is set to private, you cannot share any folder within it. To make the iTunes folder sharable, you need to either move it out of My Documents onto somewhere else on your hard drive, then change your iTunes preferences to point to the new location, or make youre My Documents folder sharable. To do this, go to C:\Documents and Settings, right click on the folder corresponding to your user name, select Sharing and Security and un-tick the box saying Make this folder private. Then go to your iTunes folder and share it in the normal way. For the Mac: Note: Due to Apple changing their folder sharing properties, if you have Mac OS X 10.4.2 or above, then you need to also share your iTunes Music folder in the same way as above but also by using a program called SharePoints. Please see the next page for more details. For the 640H to correctly display compilation albums imported using iTunes, open iTunes on your PC/Mac. Click Edit/Preferences/Advanced and tick the box marked Keep iTunes music folder organized. Click the compilation album and select all the tracks. Right click over any of the tracks and select Get Info. Under Artists type in what you want to call the artist for this compilation (i.e. Various Artists, or Various etc). This will now appear correctly on the 640H the next time you re-scan. To keep each individual artists name, place it in the song title after the song. To associate album artwork with an album, drop a jpg of the album art into the correct albums folder in the iTunes folder on your PC/Mac. Please rename the picture as user.jpg. Note: Scanning and updating the database as described above does take an increased amount of time, the larger your iTunes collection is.
