B a l a n c i n g A r t & S c i e n c e BP20/25 SERIES PREAMPLIFIERS Brystons BP20/25 series preamplifiers offer a significant step forward in capturing the subtleties, nuances and emotions of recorded music. Designed inside and out to reflect the improvements in the entire Bryston line, these preamplifiers are a perfect match to our new SST series of amplifiers. All aspects of the signal flow are greatly improved, with lower noise and distortion figures, and higher overload levels. FEATURES INCLUDE - Intermodulation distortion has been reduced to less than .0015% from 20 to 20kHz. - The noise floor has been significantly improved, reducing background hash to far below audibility. - Input to input crosstalk is essentially nonexistant to eliminate signal bleed-through from one source to another. - Components plug directly into glass-epoxy circuit boards, eliminating variations in signal travel and wire interaction. - Signal switching and audio connections utilize heavy gold plating to provide long-term trouble-free connections. - Gold plated balanced and unbalanced input and output connectors are standard. - A 12 volt AC/DC screw terminal connector on the rear of the power supply provides for a convenient remote start feature available on all Bryston amplifiers. All BP20/25 series preamplifiers are housed in steel cabinets for shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference effects. Buffered inputs provide for lower distortion and improved linearity from source components. A ground plane has been incorporated in this new design to further reduce crosstalk and noise throughout the internal circuitry. The power transformer is mounted externally to eliminate power-supply noise interference. This digital to analog option provides a state of the art upgrade path for customers wanting to improve the digital capability of their stereo CD or DVD players. Simply plug the digital out from your CD/DVD player into the Bryston BP20/25 DA. The quality of sound using fully discrete Class A operational amplifiers, rather than the typical ICs, has to be heard to be believed. REMOTE CONTROL FEATURE The BP-25 version includes a remote control with motor driven volume up/ down, along with mute and absolute phase reversal buttons. Volume, mute and absolute phase can also be activated manually on the front of the preamplifiers if the need arises. MM/MC PHONO SECTION The huge librar y of music present on vinyl represents an irreplaceable treasure. As such it becomes more important than ever to reproduce the music with the greatest faithfulness to the original recording. Br ystons unique and innovative Phono Section is available as an optional built in feature in either moving magnet (BP20/25P) and/or moving coil (BP20/25MC) version.
