Having undergone minor modifications the new D31 is different from
the old one in shape. The new D31 will be hereinafter referred to as
the DSlA" and the old DS-l as the "D31" . It should be noted
that some parts are not compatible between the BS-1A" and DS
1" t (For more information, see wl'he difference of DS-lA to DS-l"
(RD),

Both the old and new products are marked "D31" on their pedals.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
DS-1A AND DS-1

Because of IC modifications, the part name will be changed from DS-l
(ACAADAIIUR'IYPE) to DS 1A (PSA ADAPTOR'IYPE), beginning from
SNoJ 683100 of 1031 Lot (production in November. 1994)

Although the part name is changed, the marking "DS-l" will remain
indicated on the pedal of the products. Therefore, the following notes
should be referred to for distinguishing the DSIA from the US].

The DSlA will have eight modified parts or items: the veneered box.
owners manual, case, PCB (including components mounted on the PCB),
insulation spacer, bottom cover, bottom caution and adaptor caution,
