Troubleshooting Tips
Model 2150 Amplifier
Refer to the Model 2150 amplifier service manual, reference number 216306 for schematics,
PCB layouts and parts lists located on service web site.
Preventative Repair Measures
Note: Perform the following on all units returned for repair.

PCB diodes 1. Check power supply board fuses F400, F401,
F402 and F403.
2. Check the +/-15Vdc on the power supply board.
3. Check D7, D8, D9, D10, D15, D16, D17 and D18
on the Input Module PCB.
Model 2150
amplifier Dead unit Power switch Verify that the AC power switch, S100, is working
properly. Replace if defective.
Model 2150

panel lit. Tripath ICs on
driver board 1. Replace Tripath module U605 TAO-103 as used
with amplifier PCB P/N: 6000.0435.
2. Replace Tripath driver ICs U901 and U902
located on the amplifier driver board. These are
used on amplifier PCB P/N: 8005.0587.
3. Check U602 +5V regulator and R653 on the
amplifier board PCB P/N: 8005.0587.
4. Check for burned resistors and capacitors on the
main amplifier board. Replace as needed.
5. Check power amplifier output FETs Q610, Q611,
Q612, Q613 and Q620, Q621, Q622, Q623. Ensure
they are not internally shorted or shorted to the
heatsink.
