Powered Acoustimass® -3
Series II Speaker System
(AM-3P II)

This is a supplement to the Powered Acoustimass -3 II Speaker System service
manual part number 175032. Insert this supplement into your service manual for future refer-
ence.

The resistor values listed below are being changed so that the gain of the AM-3P 11 matches
the gain of the new CDSV2 music center. The new PCB assembly part number is 193567.

The reference frequency gain at 100 Hz and 1 kHz has changed due to the resistor value
changes mentioned above. Listed below are the new reference frequency gain measurements

On page 19 of the service manual part number 175032, procedure 4A has changed to the
following:

Left and Right Channel Reference Frequency Gain

With a 1 kHz, 100 mVrms signal applied, the gain should be 15.9 dB :1.5 dB.

On page 20 of the service manual part number 175032, procedure 103 has changed to the
following:

Bass Channel Reference Frequency Gain

With a 100 Hz, 100 mVrms signal applied, the gain should be 18.2 dB 12.0 dB.

All other test procedures and measurements in the service manual 175032 are the same for
the new PCB part number 193567. The oscillator input voltage levels should be set to half the
level for each of the test procedures. For example: the voltage level used in procedure 2 on
page 18 should be 110 mVrms instead of 220 mVrms.
