Only the left cnannel amplifier is used for monaural record-

ing on tracks 3 and 2. 80, set RECORD LEVEL CONTROL

(G) Insert microphone plug into the MICROPHONE JACK 21.

(K) Microphone volume level may be adjusted and balanced
by RECORD LEVEL CONTROL (LEFT) ~12. while observing
VU METER (LEFT) Q's).

(N) Invert the reels to record on track 4.

FROM AN EXTERIUALLMPLIFIER

If an external amplifier or tuner-amplifier combination is used.
connect TAPE OUTPUT leads of the external amplifier to LINE
INPUT JACKS (ill- and @2) in step (6) of the recording pro-
cedure.

FROM ANOTHER TAPE-RECORDER

Connect LINE OUTPUT JACKS or EXTERNAL SPEAKER JACKS
of the playback machine to LINE INPUT JACKS ((3:1) and QB) of
the record machine in step (G) of the recording procedure.
