CONNECTING THE SUPPLIED ANTENNAS ®

Connect the FM antenna to the FM 75 0 terminals and the AM
antenna to the AM LOOP terminals.

FM antenna

To stand the AM loop antenna on a surface
Fix the claw to the slot as shown in the illustration.

To position the antennas

FM feeder antenna:

Extend this antenna horizontally in a T shape and fix its ends to
the wall.

AM loop antenna:

Position to find the best direction.

- Do not bring the FM antenna near metal objects or curtain rails.

. Do not bring the AM antenna near other external equipment,
the unit itself, the AC power cord or speaker cords, as noise
will be picked up.

0 Do not unwind the AM loop antenna wire.

CONNECTING AN OUTDOOR ANTENNA

For better FM reception, use of an outdoor antenna is
recommended. Connect the outdoor antenna to the FM 75 (2
terminals.

CONNECTING THE SUPPLIED REMOTE
CONTROL EXTENDER ® (AV-X200 only)

Connect the HT-M301 remote control extender to the TO
REMOTE CONTROL EXTENDER jack on the rear panel.

NOTE
Position the supplied remote control extender so that the line of
sight between the remote control extender and the connected
equipment will not be obstructed by a rack or opaque glass.

REMOTE CONTROL

This remote control system can memorize other remote control
signal codes (see "MEMORlZING SIGNAL CODES"), and allows
you to operate external equipment with it through the supplied
remote control extender (AV-X200 only).

Inserting batteries
Detach the battery cover on the rear of the remote control and
insert two R6 (size AA) batteries.

When to replace the batteries

The maximum operational distance between the remote control
and the sensor on the unit should be approximately 5 meters
(16 feet). When this distance decreases, replace the batteries
with new ones.

- if the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of
time, remove the batteries to prevent possible electrolyte
leakage.

- The remote control may not operate correctly when:

- The line of sight between the remote control and the remote
sensor in the display window is exposed to intense light, such
as direct sunlight.

- Other remote controls are used nearby (those of television,
etc.)

L'ampli-tuner présente les cinq modes dégalisation suivants.

ROCK: Son puissant avec accentuation des aigus et des graves
POP: Pre'sence amélioréo des volx et des médiums

JAZZ: Accentuatlon des basses tréquences pour la musique de
type jazz

CLASSIC: Son plus riche avec des graves lourds et des aigus
fins

BGM: Son calme avec graves et aigus supprimés

Appuyez sur une des touches GEO (égaliseur graphique).
Le nom du mode sélectionné apparaft sur lafficheur pendant
deux secondes et la mode sélectionné sur Ie coté droit de
Iafficheur est entre parentheses.

Mode sélectionne

Pour annuler Ie mode sélectionné
Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur la touche. GEQ oFF apparait
sur lafficheur.

Pour sélectionner le mode avec la téle'commande
Appuyez de fagon répétée sur la touche GEQ jusqua ce que Ie
mode dégalisation souhaité apparaisse.

PROCESSEUR DIAMIBIANCE

MANUAL SELECT DSP

Les circuits du processeur dambiance (DSF') peuvent recreer
Ieffet de sons réfléchis par les murs et les plafonds, pour simuler
la presence dun environnement particulier. H y a quatre modes
dambiance avec les modes dégalisation correspondents. Les
modes degalisation sont automatiquement sélectionnés et
peuvent étre activés ou désactivés selon vos goats.

Appuyez sur une cles touches: DSP (DANCE, LIVE,
HALL ou ARENA).
Le nom du mode sélectionné apparalt sur lafficheur pendant
deux secondes et Ie mode sélectionné sur la gauche de lafficheur
est entre parentheses.

Ouand Ia source de musique est monophonique
Sélectionnez LIVE pour simuler un effet stereo. Quand vous
sélectionnez DANCE, HALL ou ARENA, aucun son nest fourni
par les enceintes surround.

Pour annuler le mode sélectionnlé

Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur la touche sélectionnée. DSP-
oFF" apparaTt sur Iafficheur. Quand le processeur clambiance
est hors service, aucun son nest tourni par les enceintes
surround.

Pour sélectionner Ie mode avec la télécommande
Appuyez de faoon répétee sur la touche DSP jusqué ce que Ie
mode DSP souhaite soit afflché.

Pour aiuster le volume des enceintes surround
Appuyez une tois sur MANUAL SELECT. SUR est affiché
pendant quatre secondest Appuyez sur UPA ou DOWNV quand
SUR est affiché.

Notez que le niveau des enceintes surround en mode Dolby Pro
Logic change aussi (voir page 13).

Le DSP est automatiquement annule quand vous mettez Ie
DOLBY PRO LOGIC en service.
