Acurus L10 Line Preamplifier

Please read this manual. Upon completion you will
understand the set-up and operation of your L10 Line
Preamplifier.

Connections

lNPUT- Connect your source to the appropriate
inputjack on the rear panel. Before inserting or remov-
ing any connectors be certain both the preamp and
power amp are OFF. The audio output of a video source
can be connected to any input.

OUTPUT - Connect the input of your tape recorders
to the tape outputs on the back panel of the preamp.
Connect the input of your power amp to either preamp
output connector. Two preamp outputs are provided to
facilitate the use of two power amps if desired.

Controls (from left to right)

OFF-ON-MUTE switch

The OFF position is far left. When the preamp is off, the
LED is off, and idle current is passed through the
circuitry to maintain proper operating temperature for
optimum sonic quality, but the output is silenced.

The ON position allows you to listen to the selected
source. The LED will remain on.

The MUTE position silences the output of the preamp
allowing you to change sources, answer the phone.
etc. . . . The LED will remain on.

Volume Control

To increase volume, rotate volume control clockwise.
At any given position of the volume control the actual
volume may differ from source to source due to differ-
ent output levels of different sources. Therefore prior to
changing source or recording we suggest you fully
lower the volume control and re-adjust to the desired
listening level.

Balance Control

Rotating the balance control clockwise from its
centered detented position will decrease the output of
the lefl speaker. Rotating the balance control counter-
clockwise will decrease the output of the right speaker.

Listen Switch

By rotating this knob you select the source for
listening. Clockwise from the left, the sequence is;
TAPE 1, TAPE 2. AUX, TUNER, D/A, CD.

Record Switch

By rotating this knob you select the source you wish to
record from. Clockwise from the left the sequence is;
CD, D/A, TUNER. AUX, TAPE 2, TAPE 1. This allows you the
convenience of listening to one source while recording
from another.
