OWNERS PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE
Loss of sensitivity and tone quality may be due to:

l. Stained erase head. This prevents prerecor-
ded material from being erased completely.

2. Dust on the recording head. (The heads
should be cleaned periodically with a cotton
swab soaked in alcohol as shown hereunder.)

3. Reversed tape threading. [The oxide coated
face of tape should be confronted to the
heads.)

4. Incorrect power supply. [Recorders should
always be operated on the specified voltage
and cycleJ

Uneven tape travel in record or play may be due to:
1. Havy dust accumulated on the heads.

2. Oil on capstan.

3. Loose capstan mount screw.

4. Sticky or dusty tape surface.
If your recorder does not record, check to see
that the followings are in correct position.

I. RECORD-PLAY SWITCH.

2. MICROPHONE PLUGS.
