Note: If the DC IN voltage exceeds 14.5 V DC and Ò Ó (High Power)
is selected, the Ò Ó icon blinks and the output power is automatically reduced to Ò Ó (Medium Power).
VOX (V OICE -O PERATED TRANSMISSION )
VOX eliminates the necessity of manually switching to
the Transmission Mode each time you want to transmit.
The transceiver automatically switches to Transmission
Mode when the VOX circuitry senses that you have
begun speaking into the microphone.
When you operate the VOX function, you must use an
optional microphone (KHS-21) because the internal
speaker and microphone are too near to be used for the
VOX function without using this headset.
To turn the VOX function ON:
